2026 Happenings
This year brings meaningful opportunities to gather, connect, and make a difference with the Gala of Hope Foundation. Building on the progress we have made together, we are looking forward to a thoughtful lineup of events and initiatives that strengthen our community and expand the help we provide.
Spring
Coming soon - smaller engagement experiences will bring supporters, healthcare professionals, and community leaders together around a shared purpose: offering hope and practical support to families navigating cancer.
Our grant-making program, fueling progress by investing in local nonprofits that are improving outcomes for patients, advancing cancer research, and improving access to life-saving care, is in full swing with two application deadlines: April 30th and September 30th. Our goal is simple: to help Dayton-area nonprofits maximize their impact so we can move closer to ending cancer. Summer
One of the highlights of this year will be the 2026 Gala of Hope, taking place on Saturday, July 18th, at the Dayton Masonic Center. This special evening is a celebration of community and generosity, and a reminder of what is possible when people come together for something bigger than themselves.
Fall
As the year continues, we remain committed to standing alongside those who inspire us most. In November, our Boxes of Hope Campaign will once again deliver comfort to military veterans facing cancer. We will also gather with healthcare social workers and oncology navigators at our annual Summit to share resources, surface emerging trends, and work collaboratively to meet the needs of local patients.

We will close the year with Christmas Hope, a program that brings light and joy to families facing cancer during the holidays. With the help of our volunteer Christmas Elves, simple wish lists are fulfilled, and holiday meals are provided, creating moments of warmth, comfort, and joy during difficult times.
