The 14-county Dayton region has significant cancer incidences and deaths, higher than any other part of Ohio. In 2024, 9,306 Dayton-area residents will become cancer patients and 3,200 who are battling cancer will perish.


Cancer is the leading cause of death in most of the 14-county Dayton region and a leading cause in the rest. Lung, Breast, and Prostate cancer are the most prevalent cancers.
